bndnm gnr8r is a prog/pop solo project centered around exploring diverse musical styles while telling a narrative around the profound impact of a religious upbringing on adulthood. Throughout my life as a fan of music, I’ve gone back and forth between rock and roll, metal, jazz, classical, folk, americana, prog, fusion and more. There have always been a few things I’ve been drawn to as a listeners: diverse arrangements, great playing, and blending humor with sincerity.
This project was really about exploring those elements. The album spans multiple genres and interweaves tones (both musical and lyrical) in a way that I think resembles life. It can be chaotic, or it can be serene, or somewhere in between.
