This one was kind of a dream come true — I remember having a borderline religious experience the first time I heard Dark Side of the Moon in the headphones as a teenager. Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with Pink Floyd!!
In 2018, my good pals in Frank Muffin asked me to hop on and play guitar for their full-album cover show of The Wall. Since I’d been playing nothing but 80s metal for about three years straight, this proved to be a huge challenge as I was tasked with learning all of David Gilmour’s parts across the entire album, adapting his phrasing and tone, and committing it all to memory by the day of the show. This also gave me a chance to dust off my neglected strat!
The production was complete with full band, orchestra, an actual wall, and professional concert lighting and video. One of the more memorable gigs of my life!
